WorldatWork Society of Certified Professionals Announces Certification Program Changes
WorldatWork Society of Certified Professionals is pleased to announce changes to the certification program and designation requirements.
Over the next 15 months, the new certification program for all designations will move to a requirements-only model (no electives). The CCP will require nine exams, seven for the CBP. Eight exams will still be required for the GRP and four for the WLCP. The rationale for transition to a requirements-only program is to promote consistency in each designation. This assures practitioners, hiring managers and other stakeholders who rely on the designations that all designees have met the same requirements.
The requirement-only program for certification will go into effect Jan. 1, 2010. Candidates who have already started the process toward certification will not be disadvantaged by the changes to the program. Until Dec. 31, 2009, you may choose to follow the new requirements-only model or continue to take the current mix of core requirements and electives.
Visit the My Certification Status page to track your certification progress based on transitional rules for the CCP, CBP and GRP.
